             This week I was paired with Archana of She has lot of interesting array of recipes. due to time constrain I have chosen this Instant healthy recipe..
              Dhokla or Dhokra is a vegetarian food item that originates from the Indian state of Gujarat. It is made with a fermented batter of gram flour. Dhokla can be eaten for breakfast, as a main course, as a side dish or as a snack . But below recipe doesn't need any fermenting process  and can be done in less than 20 minutes. Try this out and pour your valuable comments friends.....
Sweetcorn - 1 cup
Rava/semolina - 1 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Ginger - paste - 1/4 tsp
Green chili paste - 1/4 tsp
Fruit salt - 1tsp
Lemon juice - 1/4 tsp
Oil = 1/4tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
Green chilies - 2~3 or to taste ( slit in to two)

  • Blend sweet corn and curd in mixer till smooth.
  • Add rava, ginger garlic paste, green chili paste, salt and half cup water mix well.
  • Just before steaming sprinkle fruit salt and lemon juice. When bubbles form, mix gently
  • Spoon in greased muffin/ vati moulds or in a thali plate and steam for 15-20. cut into desired shape and size.
  • Heat Oil in a pan, add mustard seed, allow it splutter, add green chili and saute it for 3 minutes in low heat.
  • Pour the seasoning over the darkly.
  • Cool and serve.
Note: You can add crushed corn to the batter before steaming.  I sprinkled sugar & lemon water over the dhokla to make it more tastier.
