               Delhi is the traditional and capital of India. It is the third largest city of the world. It is also the second largest metropolis after Mumbai with a population of over 13 million. Delhi is also one of the oldest continually inhabited cities of India.

Delhi stands in a triangle formed by the Yamuna river in the east and spurs from the Aravalli range in the west and south. It is surrounded by Haryana on all sides except east where it borders with Uttar Pradesh, Delhi has a semi-arid climate with high variation between summer and winter temperature.

After Independence on 15th August 1947, Delhi was officially declared as the Capital of republic. The 69th constitutional amendment is a milestone in Delhi's history. Delhi don't have any particular cuisine and it is fusion of mughalai. Chandni Chowk, often called the food capital of India, is famous
for its street food. The variety consists of snacks, especially chaat.The streets are lined with halwais (sweet-sellers), namkeenwallahs (sellers of savouries) and paranthewali gali.  
The real flavour of the Delhi street food lies in the chaat and I am sharing awesome aloo chat with traditional fried aloos. For health constrain, you can also add baked aloos and enjoy this simple delicious chat..

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: Less than 15 minutes
Serves: 1

Ingredients:
2 medium size potatoes
1 ~ 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp chopped green chillies
1/ 8 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp chat masala
1/4 tsp amchur powder
1/ 2 tsp lemon juice
Minced cilantro as needed
Salt to taste
Oil fro deep frying

Method:

1. Wash and cut potatoes in bite size cubes and lay it on paper towel for few minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan, Fry potato cubes till they become brown and crispy in medium low heat.
3. Remove and transfer it to paper towel to drain excess oil.
4. In a mixing bowl, mix chopped onion, green chillies, red chilli powder, chat masala, amchur powder, salt and lemon juice. Give a mix, and serve immediately.
